Q. Noise complaints

Answer: When other individuals or groups are too loud when trying to study on the second/third floor or lower level, please contact the staff at the main Service Desk at 814-871-7557 for assistance. 

Q. Can the Public use the library?

Answer:

Nash Library & Student Learning Commons is open to the public during regular operating hours. Select study spaces are limited to Gannon ID holders. Please see the Service desk for specific questions and borrowing privileges.

Q. What is the library's address?

Answer: The library's street address is 619 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 

Q. Are there group study spaces in the library?

Answer: The library has numerous group study spaces in the library. Spaces can be reserved by current Gannon students, staff and faculty using the online Reserve a Space tool.

Q. Is food allowed in the library?

Answer: Food is only permitted in the library.

Q. Wifi?

Answer: The library, as well as many of the buildings on campus, does provide access to Gannon's wireless network. More information can be obtained from the ITS website. 

Q. Where can I find food in the library?

Answer: Urban Brew Coffee Shop is located on the first floor. Vending machines are located at the south end of the lower level.

Q. Is there a vending machine in the library? Where can I get a coffee.

Answer: Vending machines can be found at the south end of the lower level. The Urban Brew Cafe Coffee Shop located on the first floor is open during fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. Hours are posted at the Cafe.

Q. Where is the ITS Help Desk?

Answer: The ITS Technology Support Center is located on the first floor. Hours vary, please see posted sign for availability. 

Q. Where is somewhere quiet where I can go to do my work?

Answer: There are numerous study rooms located throughout the building. The third floor of the building is designated as the quiet study floor. 

Q. Where are the group study rooms located?

Answer: Groups study spaces are located throughout the building. A list of rooms can be found by visiting the Reserve a Room section of our website.

Q. Where is the library?

Answer: The library is located along Sassafras Street between sixth and seventh streets at 619 Sassafras Street, Erie, PA 16541.

Q. Are you open on weekends in the Summer?

Answer: Refer to the library homepage for our posted hours anytime of the year. Weekly and monthly hours can be viewed visiting our Hours page.

Q. Can I reserve a room at the library for my group?

Answer:

All study spaces are available to Gannon students and staff using the online booking tool

Select spaces may be available for use by outside groups by contacting the library director

Q. Is there a scanner/copying machine to use in Nash?

Answer: The PaperCut network copiers are available for Gannon students and employees. The copiers include an option to scan to USB drive and can be found on the lower level, 1st and 2nd floors.

Q. Is the library open during holidays?

Answer: The library's operational hours are based on the University's academic calendar and operational time periods. Library hours are posted on the library's homepage and can be viewed on our Weekly/Monthly hours page.

Q. Are the hours different during exam weeks?

Answer: The library does adjust hours for final exam weeks. Library hours are posted on the library's homepage and can be viewed on our Weekly/Monthly hours page.

Q. Who can I see and ask for help?

Answer: The staff at the service desk can assist you with general building and research questions. The staff of librarians are available to assist with In-depth research through on virtual reference section of our website.
