AMA Citation Style, 11th ed.

Book - Basic Format


Author, AA. Title of Work (Title Case*). Edition number. Publisher's name; Copyright Year. 

** In the 11th edition, the publication location has been removed from citation.

Print Book Example:

        Herr J. Creative Resources for the Early Childhood Classroom. Wadsworth& Cengage Learning; 2013.

*Title Case format capitalize all words except prepositions (of, between, through), articles (a, the, an), and conjunctions (but, and, or) unless they begin title or subtitle.

Online Book Example:

Author(s). Book Title. Edition number (if it is the second edition or later). Publisher’s name; copyright year. Accessed [date]. URL/DOI (DOI preferred)
